A. Life Safety Boxes, located outside of each laboratory, provide lab-specific chemical hazard information to emergency response personnel.

B. Hazard labels on the front of the Life Safety Boxes represent the different types of hazards that may be present within the lab.

C. Information in the Life Safety Boxes include:

  1. Cover page with hazard symbols representing the different types of hazards within the lab (provided by EH&S).
  2. SU’s emergency contact form (or SOM emergency contact form for the School of Medicine).
  3. Chemical storage map.
  4. The lab’s chemical inventory printout (provided annually by EH&S).
