How to Use
For both new buildings and renovations, peer review occurs at specific points in the seismic engineering design process. At the end of the project, all issues should be resolved with agreements reached between the peer reviewer and the engineer of record. When the engineer of record has addressed all of the peer reviewer’s comments in writing, the peer review is complete.
To facilitate the reporting process, Stanford has prepared a Peer Review Report Form, identifying all issues raised at each step of the design process and documenting how they were resolved. Use a single form from start to finish. If disagreements arise, indicate them in the form, then bring them to the attention of the Seismic Advisory Committee (SAC). The final Peer Review Report Form remains in the project file, with a copy provided to the SAC.
