It’s important to minimize the quantity and toxicity of chemical wastes and mixtures, as doing so saves money, limits long-term liability, and reduces our ecological footprint. It also reduces the costs of specialized transportation and treatment measures.

EH&S’s Environmental Protection Programs are an integral part of the University’s sustainability efforts. Through pollution prevention and waste minimization efforts, we can accomplish the larger objectives without compromising University activities.
