Lab Animal Occupational Health Program: Working with You to Keep You Working Safely

Do you work with or around laboratory animals? The Lab Animal Occupational Health Program (LAOHP) is a University-run program whose goal is to keep you, and the lab animals you work with, safe and healthy.

We want you to be the healthiest you can be. Although things may be going pretty well for you in the lab, did you know that 1 in 3 people may develop allergies to lab animals? No worries, LAOHP can help. Enrollment, counseling, and implementation of recommendations can help prevent allergies from worsening or address other health concerns relating to animals. Our aim is to work with you so you can continue your scientific career safely.

So let LAOHP help you get science done. Fill out the LAOHP questionnaire—it’s now available online for fast and convenient access and submission!

Do you have other animal-related health or safety concerns regarding biologicals, chemicals, radiation or other topics? LAOHP’s parent organization, Environmental Health & Safety, can help. Let us guide you through what we do by visiting this page.
