Laboratory managers, Principal Investigators (PIs), or laboratory instructors may be in charge of the lab. As a critical link in the safety chain the lab manager informs EH&S on services needed and delivered. Lab managers also direct researchers, helping them to work safely, protect personnel and the environment, and request services from EH&S.
