The IBC meeting is generally held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The full schedule can be found on the RCO Meeting Schedule page. Meeting minutes are approved at the next convened meeting, and posted within 5 business days of approval.
Panel 1 meetings oversee general Biosafety and Biosecurity, including with infectious agents that does not involve any recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids. Panel 1 does not oversee any work for which the NIH Guidelines apply.
Panel 2 meetings oversee all applicable work under the NIH Guidelines for Recombinant and Synthetic Nucleic Acids.
