International shipments of certain hazardous biologicals and chemicals may require an export license prior to shipment. Shipments of export controlled pathogens and chemicals without an export license may result in civil and criminal penalties.
Please refer to Stanford’s Export Control website for a listing of export controlled hazardous biologicals and chemicals and contact the Export Control Officer if your item is identified.
If you are not shipping an export control-listed hazardous biological or chemical, please conduct a Restricted Party Screen and document your international shipment by submitting a “One-Time No License Required” form. Export forms submission and recordkeeping for each international shipment is a Stanford research policy requirement (RPH 8.3).
